COMMUNIA

Naming a social media app empowering women affected by #MeToo.

As a nineteen-year-old student, Olivia DeRamus was sexually assaulted. But despite winning a university tribunal, she was sued by her assaulter for millions of dollars in a defamation case. The truth was on her side, but for the purposes of the trial, she could not speak out. This traumatic situation was the catalyst for her life’s mission: although her story couldn’t be shared, she would reject the suppression of other women’s voices.

Hence, the social media platform Restless Network was born as a space for women to share information, community support, and true connection. Commissioned by ilovecreatives agency, Pratt immersed in the current landscape and the app’s vision and concluded with a name worthy of its integrity: Communia.
